About me

Hi, I'm Alice (she/her).

I'm an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD), Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC), and hold a Graduate Certificate in Mental Health. I'm also currently completing a Master of Counselling.

As both a dietitian and a neurodivergent person, I've spent a lot of time thinking about the gap between knowing what to do and actually being able to do it. Understanding nutrition is one thing; navigating the realities of energy, capacity, sensory experiences, mental health, routines, and everyday life is another.

Working across eating disorders, mental health, disability, and chronic health care has taught me that there is rarely a simple explanation for why people struggle with food, health, or self-care. More often, it's a reflection of the many moving parts that make us human.

My own lived experience as a neurodivergent and queer person has shaped the way I think about healthcare. I understand the value of feeling seen, respected, and understood, and I strive to create a space where people can show up as themselves.

Through Dahlia Dietetics, I provide trauma-informed and neuroaffirming nutrition care that recognises there is no one-size-fits-all approach to food, health, or wellbeing. My aim is to support people in finding approaches that work within the realities of their own lives.

Finding The Right Fit

Finding the right clinician matters.

While I have experience across a range of presentations, my practice is intentionally focused on eating disorders, neurodivergence, mental health, disability, and LGBTQIA+ inclusive care. These are the areas I feel most drawn to and where I have developed the greatest depth of experience.

If you're seeking highly specialised support in areas such as fertility, pregnancy, paediatric nutrition, sports or performance nutrition, another dietitian may be better suited to your needs.

If I'm not the right fit, I'm always happy to help point you in the right direction!
