Neuroaffirming Nutrition Support

Many nutrition recommendations are built around assumptions that don't reflect the realities of neurodivergent lives.

Difficulties with eating, meal planning, shopping, cooking, remembering to eat, food variety, or meeting nutrition needs are often understood as a lack of motivation, discipline, or knowledge. In reality, they can be influenced by sensory experiences, executive functioning, interoception, energy levels, burnout, routines, capacity, and the demands of everyday life.

As a neurodivergent practitioner, I understand that nutrition care should work with your brain, not against it.

Areas I Commonly Support

  • Autism and eating differences

  • ADHD and nutrition

  • Sensory food preferences

  • Limited food variety

  • Executive functioning challenges

  • Meal planning and organisation

  • Low appetite or forgetting to eat

  • Burnout and fluctuating capacity

  • Body image concerns

  • Co-occurring eating disorders

My Approach

My work is grounded in neuroaffirming practice. Rather than focusing on compliance or changing who you are, we work together to understand your individual needs, strengths, barriers, and goals.

Support may include:

  • Increasing nutrition adequacy

  • Reducing stress around food

  • Building flexible routines

  • Adapting meal planning systems

  • Supporting sensory needs

  • Exploring realistic strategies for everyday life

There is no single "right" way to eat, organise your meals, or care for yourself. Together, we'll find approaches that make sense for you.
